CONTROLS: Art-Net

Art-Net is an Ethernet-based protocol for lighting control. With it, the user can choose either wired or WiFi networks (or both) to connect a controller to a translator box such as the ENTTEC ODE. Many different software applications may be employed to create those signals and manipulate your lights. Applications best suited for use with Aleph fixtures are described below.

Art-Net options:
  • iPad and Luminair
  • iPhone and ENTTEC's House Lights (or better name to be determined)
  • Professional stage lighting console or software applications
  • ENTTEC Datagate Mk 2 as a dedicated playback engine
  • ENTTEC E-Streamer as a dedicated playback engine for a large installation with complex scheduling and multiple overlapping shows
  • Node Management Utility (NMU) a free program that runs on Windows PC or Mac, allowing the user to set up one look and leave it on all the time or change it manually, with a mouse (ENTTEC ODE required to convert from Art-Net to DMX512)
